French Neoclassic Bedroom
I referenced sketches I drew from French furniture
I started with research, looking at various elements and motifs. I also looked at veneer patterns, wood species, and color combinations. I also referenced sketches I had made in an earlier class, from French furniture in KCAD's Furniture Gallery.
After the research, I moved to ideation sketches. I made three different collections, but settled on this one. I had a two-tone color scheme, with parquetry details in the bed and drawer fronts.
After sketching, I drew them in AutoCad, and adjusted proportions and a proper scale.

I rendered the AutoCAD linework with Procreate on an iPad. The page was laid out in Illustrator to keep everything uniform.
I settled on a Dark Mahogany finish with Cherry parquetry. I also put a high gloss finish on all of the pieces, and added brass hardware.
Queen Anne Dining Room
This collection follows the same process as the French collection. I adjusted my sources to better fit the 18th century English style, focusing heavily on Queen Anne. I did look to furniture that came before and after to get a better idea of what was happening at that time.
Below are the final presentation boards I created, featuring some formal and some casual pieces that are specified. All rendering was done by hand in Procreate as well.
I chose a high-gloss Deep Red Mahogany for this, with the casual pieces finished with a semi-gloss Walnut. The casegoods have brass bat-wing bails and escutcheons.
