I started turning in 2015, and shortly after received a lathe for Christmas. Since then I have turned hundreds of pieces, and put well over 1200 hours on it.
I have turned lots of different materials, including rose petals, shark vertebrae, denim, and even sunflower seeds. I also do my own resin casting, so I can get custom color and material combinations.

A humidor I made as a wedding gift for my uncle. Mahogany, Satinwood, Ebony on the exterior, with Spanish Cedar Interior. Finish is two coats of garnet shellac and four coats of Waterlox Original. Interior is unfinished, and has an airtight seal. Two dividers with velvet pads slide to provide various spaces to keep cigars separate or the humidity packs contained. Boveda humidity packs were used. All exterior corners are Macassar ebony with triple miters, with satinwood inlay on either side.

For Christmas of 2019 I decided to make a few tea boxes as gifts. I selected a few species of wood, and got to work. A few have mitered and splined corners, and one has hand-cut dovetails. The six compartment boxes hold around 60-70 bags, and the eight holds close to 100.

These are a group of coffee table boxes I made in the Spring of 2021 for display/sale in a furniture gallery in Traverse City, MI. I used a combination of solid wood and veneered panels, which let me use more exotic and figured woods for the lids and bottoms.
In the fall of 2019, I received my first custom furniture commission. She was looking for a set of side and coffee tables that fit in their modern home. I designed these, and after getting the go-ahead, started creating them. They are made from grey-stained hard maple, and sit on custom metal bases that I fabricated and applied a brushed look to. They are incredibly sturdy, and the coffee table is quite stable with a 41" cantilever.
